Here at Transcription City, we are always looking for ways to help our clients to get the exact service they are looking for. For this reason we offer a vast range of different transcription services – from intelligent verbatim to subtitles. Today, I thought I’d focus on proofreading.
Proofreading and Transcription
All of our transcripts are proofread by the typist before returning to our clients, as standard. All of our typists must have at least five years experience in their specialist area of expertise and pass a series of tests before being offered work from us. We find that this method of transcription produces high quality transcripts (providing the audio is of reasonable quality). We also find that this keeps the cost of transcription at a reasonable rate and is our most popular method of transcription amongst clients.
However, we like to provide our clients with options to meet their needs and this is why we also offer a second proofreader service, which comes in two tiers, depending on your needs and requirements.
Proofreading Services (Text)
If you require a second proofreader service, but are more interested in how your transcript reads, rather than it being strict verbatim then this is the proofreading service for you. For this service, the proofreader will read through the entire transcript and double check research, consistency, grammar, spelling and syntax to ensure that your transcript is easy to read and contains accurate information.
Proofreading Services (Audio and Text)
We also provide a second proofreading service that covers both the audio and the text. For this service, a second, qualified proofreader will go through your transcript whilst listening to the audio, to check for errors. They will also fill in as many [unclears] as possible, check research as well as correct grammar and syntax if required.
All second proofreading services incur and additional charge and are optional, depending on your needs and requirements. All second proofreader clients can request subsequent revisions for 72 hours from receiving their completed transcripts as and when required.
If you are interested in our proofreading services, transcription services or video transcription services, why not get in touch? We are able to offer information and advice to help you get the transcription service you require. Please note we now offer both translation and court reporting services – so feel free to enquire today if you would like to know more about these new and exciting services.
We look forward to connecting with you.
