Emissions Reduction Targets
Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Since establishing our baseline in 2022, we have introduced several environmental management measures that have already resulted in a 10% reduction in emissions:
- Remote Working Policies: Encouraging flexible, remote work to reduce commuting and related emissions.
- Digital Operations & Paperless Policy: Transition to digital processes, significantly reducing paper use and waste.
- Energy-Efficient Equipment: Using energy-saving equipment and LED/PIR lighting to reduce electricity consumption.
- Electric Vehicles: Utilizing electric vehicles for company operations, helping to decrease transport-related emissions.
- Sustainable Supplier Partnerships: Engaging with suppliers who follow sustainable practices, reducing our Scope 3 emissions.
Future Initiatives
Looking forward, Transcription City is committed to furthering our carbon reduction efforts by:
- Full Transition to Renewable Energy: Moving all electricity consumption to renewable sources to reduce our Scope 2 emissions further.
- Expanding Digital Solutions: Continually enhancing digital processes to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Investing in Carbon Offsetting: Supporting certified carbon offset programs to balance any unavoidable emissions.
Declaration and Sign-Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans. Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and use the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions has been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
